Hello. Thank you for visiting my website. This website is about what I do as an artist. I believe, like a gem in the sunlight, that art and creativity have many facets: I paint, write and am the author of several books. Also, I teach writing classes and help guide men and women over forty to write and publish their books. I believe that we all have other voices and that the key to life and aging is to pursue new voices and dreams.

I have an MA/creative writing and a BFA in painting. I have published fiction and nonfiction with William Morrow, Crossing Press, and other presses. I also have self published. These days there are so many ways to go. Main thing: Get your project out there. This fall my latest novel The Viagra Diaries will be published.

From '91, to the present, I have taught creative writing workshops at SFSU San Francisco State University Extended Education, San Francisco City College, Learning Annex, and this fall-09 I will be teaching how to write your first book in any genre at San Francisco State University Olli Division.

I have had several solo gallery exhibits of my paintings and if you are interested, the current and past exhibits are on this website.

I hope that you will pursue your other voices, re-invent yourself, paint, write, or whatever you feel. Creativity is not owned by those who have credentials, or anyone special. We are all born with creativity. You have it as well as I do. You just have to want to, I hope this website inspires you.
